| Commonly Asked Life Group Questions? |
What are Life Groups? Life Groups are small groups within the church made up of 6-12 people who meet regularly to experience life together. The mission of Life Groups is to connect people into meaningful, authentic relationships through elements that reflect Biblical community: Bible study, prayer, caring and loving relationships, celebration and worship, eating together, and outreach. Why are Life Groups so important? At Southbridge, our vision is to become a church where no one stands alone. Not one person. We all secretly long to fit in and belong to a group of people that accept and love us for who we are. Life Groups are the best place for genuine relationships to form and connection and growth to occur. What will we talk about? We are passionate about our mission statement which states that we want to love God, connect with others and serve the world. Several times a year we will focus on the current teaching series from our Sunday morning worship service. Other times, a life group will choose to do a curriculum study (i.e. marriage study, book of the bible, finances etc). We simply desire to experience life together. How do I get connected to a Life Group? We have found the most successful way to get connected to a Life Group is through relationships. Finding people who identify with your season of life is important. Life Groups are affinity based so you can fit into a group that is most like you. So whether you are single, newly married, married with children, or a soon to be "empty nester" there is a group for you. Please e-mail Pam Johnson to help find a Life Group that fits you. How often do Life Groups meet? Most Life Groups meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of the month @ 6pm. Presently, there are a few Life Groups that meet various times throughout the week. For a complete list of Life Group locations please pick up a "Life Group Locator" from the information Center. |
